Last night, I excitedly installed the pre-release of the new Cooking Dash 3 Thrills and Spills. I’ve played a few casual games in my time, but haven’t delved into them lately. If you have played previous Diner Dash games, you will remember Flo & her Grandma as the main characters. They are back again, yet this time Flo and her friends are teenagers.

PAX 2010 Review
The beautiful city of Seattle was taken storm by gamers, geeks, freaks, and entrepreneurs over labor day weekend. This was my first gaming convention and PAX definitely did not disappoint. My picture says it all – a whirlwind of people demoing games, hardware and competing with others.
Here’s a list of my top five experiences at PAX 2010.
High Tech Travels – Day Two
Yes, I love my Android. I will continue to make posts about all the wonderful apps this phone has brought to me! So please pay attention =) Of course, the iPhone, Windows Mobile, etc have access to a lot of apps as well, but there is just something about an open source OS that makes me feel all gooey inside.
High Tech Travels – Day One
Geeky Moms is on their way to PAX West. PAX is a three day convention and gaming extravaganza in Seattle. I am very excited to meet with other female business owners and also see how the spectrum of women gaming has changed. No longer are gamers just nerdy men who never bath or stay in their basements. Over half of all gamers are women! Not only that, but gaming companies are starting to realize that women are the ones buying games, no matter if its for themselves, kids or significant others.

Internet and Email Safety
With the use of computers and the internet comes certain threats. If you are going to be active on the internet or in email or even if you will be only somewhat active when accessing email and the internet you should take steps to protect yourself. Two of the biggest threats right now are Virus’s and Identity/Account Theft. Below are a few simple steps you can take to protect yourself.
Chat Terminology
Have you ever gotten an email or been chatting with someone and come across what looks like a foreign language in front of you? Basically it is a foreign language. It’s Chat Speak or Chat Terminology. It is a completely separate form of communication created by chatters and gamers who didn’t want to type out whole words of commonly used phrases.
Exposed – Purpose of a Recycle Bin
Let’s say you have a banana peel and you take your banana peel and walk it over to your garbage can and drop it in. In 15 days are you going to walk back over to the garbage can and pick up your banana peel? I’m guessing the answer is NO. Okay, so I’m truly HOPING the answer is no, because that would be really disturbing. Many, many, many, computer users do those same steps with their recycle bin. Granted not with banana peels but you get the point.
