Wii owners can download the new Netflix disc-free streaming update from the Wii Shop Channel. Up until now, Netflix viewing through the Wii needed a special Netflix disc. This update adds Netflix as a menu option on the Wii Menu. Previously, the only console which had disk free streaming of Netflix was the XBox 360.
Sony’s Playstation 3 also requires a disk, but an update is expected to be released sometime today to allow disk free streaming.
You still need a Netflix subscription in order to take advantage of the streaming. Subscriptions start at $8.99 a month.

Over half of all gamers are women! Not only that, but gaming companies are starting to realize that women are the ones buying games, no matter if its for themselves, kids or significant others.
WomenGamers.com features articles on women in gaming, how to break into the gaming industry, and gaming reviews. Gaming has been a stereotypical male activity, but studies have shown that over half of online gamers are women. This growing trend has changed the way we look at raising children. Gaming mothers face different challenges but in the same token have new and exciting opportunities.
Atari from WomenGamers.com talks about these challenges in her article “Gaming with a Newborn.”
